As far as gender/age are considered, I find this to be an entirely unisex and ageless fragrance. I think it would smell particularly sexy on female skin, though I wear it myself without issue. And though it doesn’t strike me as a mature scent, it would smell a little bit weird on a teenager; twenty and up is probably the best bet. When To Wear It I tested Scent Intense only minutes after I tested Scent Sheer, and I must say the differences are quite obvious. Free d’Homme EDP: a metropolitan and nonconformist scent, thanks to a mix of citrus notes, Cypriol, Saffron and Incense!

Costume National is not the cheapest designer brand, rather pricing their fragrances along the same lines as Chanel and Dior. Even at retail, Scent Intense is a worthwhile scent, providing niche quality and performance at designer prices. Scent Intense, a 2002 release from the brand, is less spoken of, and perhaps less well regarded. Nevertheless, the fragrance has managed to stay in production for twenty years. Does it deserve to have flown under the radar? Beneath the strong, almost masculine notes, a sweet, milky jasmine note rises from the darkness bringing with it an interesting coziness. By sunset I was showered and wearing it again, going out again, somehow repeating without intention or want, the night before, a chance encounter with a different person on a different street in a different place. I’d have to travel bleary eyed and hungover (or still drunk) as the sun rose the next morning, witnessing my semi-futile attempt to get to work on time still wearing the previous nights clothes, still smelling like scent intense.

That was my life when I wore scent intense most of the time, a time I don’t even remember that well anymore. All I remember now, through the collages of memories of venues and people and streets and words and bodies, is that when I wore this I was a god.This one doesn’t fit neatly into any of those categories, while still being identifiably an amber scent. Instead, Scent Intense could best be described as a floral, spicy, leathery amber with a medicinal touch and a botanical vibe by dint of the tea. Scent Breakdown Scent Intense is one of the more unique amber fragrances that I’ve tried in my fragrance journey. Most of the time, amber fragrances go one of a few ways: either the more old-school, powdery route, the new-school spicy, smoky, oud-y route, or a more vanilla-heavy gourmand route. However, I was enchanted once again, and my mind was filled with memories. The most similar fragrance to Scent Intense would probably be Scent, also by Costume National and also released in 2002. Scent Intense is of course a flanker of the original scent, so they are alike in that they both feature amber, tea, hibiscus, jasmine, and wood. Scent Intense, of course, adds vanilla, leather, and spice to the mix. There was also, for a time, a Scent Intense Parfum, which added myrrh, but it seems that it is no longer available. It smells like milk, but also has spicy notes that create a wonderful contrast…wow!” - Grace There is excellent longevity in this dark and smoky beauty. Sillage and endurance are highly praiseworthy. It is a cult fragrance, unique, luxurious and outrageous, rich and resinous, and that’s what I love about Scent Intense. A very sexy elixir that always induces naughty intent every time I wear it or smell it. It is dark in the sense that it is very amber and incensed, only slightly fruity, and is complex and intriguing at the same time. Wear it in the frosty nights of late fall and winter, it will warm you up.

Costume National is a niche perfumerybrand founded in 2001by Ennio Capasa, combining Japanese minimalismwith the Italian sartorial approach to create wonderful and original artistic perfumes.Costume National fragrances have an innovative soul, a modern identity, and a strong connection with Italy and the artistic traditionof high perfumery. These unique scents are created following a contemporaryand essentialstyle, which is reflected in the high qualityand purity of the raw materials used. I have worn it in pretty much all types of weather except for hot and humid summer days and it has worked like a charm. It smells equally at home in the cold as it does in warm (not hot) weather. I think that you could pull this off in spring, autumn, winter, and on summer nights, so long as it’s not too hot. It would be ideal to wear, however, in spring and autumn. Overall, it’s an iconic bottle design which is immediately recognizable as a Costume National fragrance. Personally, I really like it. Performance Scent Intense, is not only an intensified version, but an entirely different composition altogether. I immediately detected the patchouli in the opening which had a rather dusty and leathery feel to it.

The heart offers the elegance of hibiscus and jasmine. An amiable jasmine note rises from the darkness, bringing with it an appealing intimacy. The suppression of the sweet allows the acidulated hibiscus note to float freely in the heart of this perfume. It looks a lot like the smell of hibiscus on a wet morning on my terrace. Very delicate and yet unmistakably floral. The tea combines beautifully with this concoction and allows the delicacy of the hibiscus to radiate and shine. Three to four sprays gives me about two hours of soft projection and about an hour of quiet, half an arm’s length sillage. Additionally, the opening to mid of the fragrance has a medicinal vibe that makes this scent truly addictive. I’m not sure where it’s coming from (maybe the interaction of the hibiscus with the amber?) but it makes this scent truly addictive. I’m definitely one of those weirdos that enjoys medicinal fragrances, though, so it might not be to everyone’s taste. However, I think that medicinal vibe is what elevates this fragrance to the next level. I haven't worn 21 CoSTUME NATIONAL before, yet of all the brand samples I received, I liked it the most. No, not more than Scent Intense. However, 21 is my second choice.Scent Intense smells like amber, but not aquatic and salty (which I prefer), rather it'ssweet and woody. The amber is so soft, smooth and fluid that it's easy to imagine a huge drop of amber resin flowing down a sawn tree. It is incredibly fragrant, smelling of sandalwood, cedar and rosewood at once, though it's difficult to imagine such a hybrid. I EDP: "When I wear it, I feel like a queen! With this warm and intense trail it's always a safe bet!" - Mary The cap is the typical Costume National cap, which fits very snugly onto the atomizer and is a lot smaller than typical fragrance bottle caps.
