Flying the Snaptain SP500 drone is absolutely easy. The built-in GPS does all of the heavy lifting work by obtaining precise data from the satellites. Then it uses the data to stabilize its axis for a smooth flight experience. It is definitely a big difference apart from toy drones that requires manual controls. This drone also comes with a rechargeable 1000 mAh batteries. The SP500 drone allows you to fly up to 15 minutes when they’re charged.

The SNAPTAIN SP500 is a great beginner’s drone or for the more experienced users as well, it also has an affordable price and decent video quality. The SNAPTAIN SP500 also comes with various modes such as the “Follow Me” mode which is very useful, were the drone will follow you wherever you go. Press the button and the four rotor blades start rotating, then press the button again to take off.Note: This function can’t be activated when the battery of the drone is low (the Drone Battery Status shows 2 Yellow bars and the LEDs of the drone flash slowly). It’s powered by an internal rechargeable 3.7v lithium-ion battery, and you get a cool USB cable to recharge it with, which has some green LED lights that indicate when the batteries are fully charged. The SNAPTAIN SP500 has an elegant modern design, it is well built with good quality plastics and it has a nice dark color. Its design is similar to most drones by a SNAPTAIN such as the A15H, it feels pretty durable and has the ability to replace and switch pieces such as the protectors and propellers. It can fly up to 250 meters with a video connection. When it comes to following regulations regarding your drone, you probably don't need a pilot's license to fly a basic drone. Any toy class drone that weighs less than 0.55 lbs can be flown in open areas and away from airports and buildings without a license. You can't fly over the top of people. You also will have to pay attention to certain restrictions in flight. Drones cannot be flown over 400 ft and you have to keep in sight of the drone at all times. In addition to being responsible for normal maintenance, you'll need to ensure that you keep these rules in mind.
ATTI Mode is automatically on when there are not enough satellites connected to put the drone in GPS mode during the outdoor flight. In ATTI mode, the drone will maintain a specific flight altitude, but it will drift around in the wind. DO NOT fly above or near obstacles, crowds, open water, public road, high voltage power lines or trees. Before flying, please make some practice with a simulator or seek for instruction from a professional. Now, as I stated earlier in this review, my favourite feature of a drone is the camera and the Snaptain SP500 does come with a good HD camera that will allow you to take some cool aerial images and videos. Please go to your mobile device’s setting to turn off your cellular data, or disable the function that allows your phone to automatically disconnect to wifi with no Internet access.As I mentioned previously, the Snaptain SP500 drone doesn’t have brushless motors which is a minor downside. Though, the remote controller uses all-new 5GHz frequency signal that greatly enhances responsiveness and speed of communication.
