About this deal

If you’ve built a home studio on a budget, Line 6 threw in a crazy feature you’ll appreciate: stereo inputs! It would be nice to see a company buck that trend, but alas, today that honor won’t be going to Line 6. It has over 160 effects, including amps and cabs, USB connectivity for you to hook up to your computer and uses as an external interface, and 20 seconds of recordable looper time. We may use your comments or compliments, without identifying you by your full name, as testimonials in our advertising or marketing. Add to this true analog bypass, stereo in and out, rugged construction and plug-and-play operation and you have a great sounding, all in one effects solution that is more convenient, and costs significantly less than a board of high quality pedals!

Editor’s Note: The more elaborate Line 6 M13 pedal has an external preamp loop for popular “four cable” hookups, enabling you to route some effects front-of-amp and others into your effects loop. On our clean tones, the Phaser and Barberpole Phaser were beautiful, the latter delivering fantastic vintage effects (without the noise of vintage pedals), but when paired with high-gain amp tones, we found a metallic “clank” to these effects that rendered them disappointing. We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you. Our contributors use and test each instrument, accessory, or service in their real lives and we never recommend anything we wouldn't use. Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with consumer expectations based on your relationship with us.Line 6 describes it as "stompbox simple, pedal board powerful and totally portable", and I'd say that's pretty darned accurate. It has only a few signs of wear or use, none of which impact on the health, usability or function of the pedal. I used the Line 6 DL4 for about 5 years with no problem at all, although at times due to the unit having only 3 presets i would have to bend over to add modulation to a preset if i wanted it for a song, so i figured i'd give the M9 a shot sense it had more presets. The contrast of black casing with the chrome-finished footswitches are not exciting, or original in terms of color schemes for multi-effects pedals. This pedal has been around for a while, but it's still the coolest, most practical and great sounding in its class. The Line 6 M9 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal is powerful, portable and bursting with immortal stompbox effects. super flexible and the tones and effects are excellent in my opinion and I have plenty of vintage analog gear to compare. Right away, the first decision you’ll need to make is whether you intend to use the M9 in front of your amp or in the effects loop. We may decline to process requests that jeopardize the privacy of others, are extremely impractical, or would cause us to take any action that is not permissible under applicable laws.

This could be playing in a covers band that needs to keep a lot of different people happy with lots of different songs in one night, so you can separate your blues classics from your pop ballads. Go ahead and patch the M9 into your home studio with full stereo input and output for processing far more than just electric guitar. If you have a bargain solid state amp, then amp models have a purpose, otherwise the M9 is the way to go.The only constraint is that you can only use three at any one time (on the M13 you can use four), although you can change which six you have in front of you whenever you want to. Distortions sound a little thin but usable though I would not use them for serious performing or recording but, good enough for looping.

As a backup at gigs in case of an issue with something on one of my main boards, or as a spare in case someone else wants to join the fun. Line 6 have split the effects into six categories, combining some classic stomp box tributes with some original sounds of their own creation. But if you require more flexible effect routing options (plus the ability to play up to four effects at once and a few other minor differences), you may want to check out the more elaborate M13. If you’re looking for something that’s been solidly constructed that just does effects, the M9 could be for you. These discounts are usually communicated through newsletters, which are created and managed by us with the tool "Emarsys". Some users have reported issues with the footswitches, although this has never been a problem for me.
