Chivas Regal 12 year old was awarded the Artisan Distiller of the Year award in 2014 in the International Whisky Competition, an honour it also won in 1999 and is one of the most highly regarded blends in Europe. Product History: Chivas Regal 25 was The World’s First Luxury Whisky, launched to America’s high society in New York in 1909 as the first whisky to be aged at least 25 years. The flavour of the signature malt comes through as a fruity, apple tone, while the fairly high grain content of the whisky adds a honeyed sweetness. Sweet orange, peach, marzipan and nuts are just some of the flavours in this complex blend, exhibiting hints of creamy milk chocolate orange and a smooth, rounded and luxuriously long finish. In 2007 Master Blender Colin Scott, inspired by the original recipe, re-created Chivas Regal 25 to celebrate where the story began.

After taking New York by storm, World War 1 and the prohibition meant that Chivas 25 disappeared and became a highly coveted collectors item.
