I wouldn't say it's my son's absolute favourite book but he does enjoy it we do get to talk about the feelings or relief, anxiety, disappointment, loss and others that come with this book. Blue Kangaroo has always been Lily's favourite toy, but then Wild Brown Bear comes along, and then Yellow Cotton Rabbit, and then the Furry Puppies, and then more and more new toys, until Blue Kangaroo feels there just isn't room for him any more . So many children's books nowadays are about things crashing and zooming and children acting poorly, and it is nice to find a nice quiet book that still engages the child. Although she tries her best, she makes more silly mistakes, including putting talc on him after bathing in the bath water!
