About this deal

Samsonite Suitcases, with the exception of the entry-level basic collections, the Magnum Eco has been fitted with double spinner wheels, which make it extremely easy to move around. The double wheels are often referred to as 8 Wheeled Suitcases but are essentially 4 double wheels on each corner. These wheels ensure that the ride and mobility of the suitcases is as smooth as possible, taking the strain out of wheeling them about. An enhanced manoeuvrability is achieved from the use of Spinner Wheels on a Suitcase and the Magnum Eco is no exception. A custom hub cab with Samsonite branding finishes the look off perfectly and ensures that a clean, minimalistic, and understated look is achieved. Generally speaking, the difference is not massive but poor design can be a source of frustration and poor user experience. The wheels are small, tough and move in any direction. If you have not had a Samsonite Spinner before, then give it a (literal) twirl… S’Cure cases will spin around 360 degrees.

The suitcase also has a rubber frame gasket. This was integrated into its build to make the suitcase as waterproof as possible. The rubber gasket also repels any dirt and moisturethat tries to get into your suitcase, so you can have some peace of mind knowing that your possessions will stay dry and clean no matter what. Before the introduction of 2-wheel suitcases you had to carry your luggage, so lets raise a glass to celebrate this invention! While 4-wheel cases have become more popular over recent years, 2-wheelers are still a great option especially for a cabin case. Instead of the regular zip we see on most suitcases, Samsonite have offered a new direction that I think we will see more of in the future. Zips are a particular weak point in luggage because of damage and theft. The seal removes those weak points.Forest Green, Graphite and Navy Blue would suit the user who does not really require bright colours and would perhaps suit the travelling businessperson who needs a more demure looking suitcase for their journeys. While the Ice Blue and Maple Orange are slightly bolder without being too in your face. Where the fun starts is with the incredibly bright and easy to spot Radiant Orange and the Summer Blue. Both are extremely bright and will make spotting your luggage on the airport carousel easy. With a zip closure, there is always a slight concern that a suitcase may either endure damage to the zipper or that thieves could potentially access the suitcase with something as simple as a ball point pen. Without a zip, this is no longer an option.

There are many other features that we love about this collection. From the easy-to-use push button wheel handle, the As I state in every review I do, value is highly subjective and value is only based on what you consider important. I therefore make my judgement based on what is actually being delivered compared to the what is being offered on the market. One side of the clam shell design is fully encased with a zip. The other side has luggage straps that are non-adjustable. You therefore need to fill this high enough to prevent clothes falling out. Samsonite S Cure 20 Inch Capacity DLX versions have new interiors compared to the regular S’Cure range. Both are perfectly serviceable. The main body is constructed using polypropylene rather than the polycarbonate that Samsonite normally use. Although polycarbonate is traditionally considered stronger, polypropylene is still a very strong thermoplastic. It is more than capable of handling bumps, bruises and general mishandling.Which? have written a good article on luggage that has been damage by airlines: https://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/advice/the-airline-has-lost-or-damaged-my-bag-what-can-i-do It is an extension to the S’Cure range and is the premium version. It has a soft touch handle and chrome accents. How long is the Samsonite warranty? Eco-Friendly Luggage benefits of the Magnum Eco but we do have to comment on the looks of the outer shell. All sizes have the Samsonite Logo imprinted into them which is none-invasive and subtle. The shell has also been grooved, rather than a full glossy shell, to ensure that scratches are kept to a minimum, ensuring that they will look good for longer. That isn’t to say that scratches will not appear at some point (We’ve all seen the videos of how baggage handlers treat our luggage at times) but it will certainly help in reducing the look of these scratches. While by no means lightweight, I found them reasonably weighted when you take the toughness of the shell into account. There are plenty of flimsy no-name alternatives which are over 4kg for a medium. S’Cure cases are built from Flowlite Polypropylene. These weights are based on the nicer DLX versions with upgraded interiors. At a price point close to ‘no brand’ alternatives – you get a case which will last you for years (maybe even decades!).

Less likely to snap off: because the 2- wheels are set into the case you won't find baggage handlers using the wheels as handles when they are getting your bag on of off the aircraft. They are double wheel spinners with 360-degree maneuverability which means the suitcase will go exactly where you want it too. Samsonite S’cure 30 Integrated ID tag

Although several of the colours of the Magnum Eco are very subtle and almost professional-like, it does benefit of having some pretty funky and bold colours available. The As I mention above, the finish is excellent. Something you expect of Samsonite and this range is no different. There are no concerns or issues to report here…proceed with confidence.
