How this is still being made I do not know. This could just as easily have been launched in 1886 vs. 1986, given how far it is from modern fragrance sensibilities. But what a rich experience! The balsam and strange overripe brew of florals drying down to one of the best patchoulis ever. Stands up straight, has great manners, and then winks at you with just a hint of lasciviousness. Delicious! The opening act is where it really brings that spicy punch. Paprika and basil, which can sometimes come across as harsh, but just give it time to settle down and present itself fully. Personally, I don’t think the duo overpower or diminish the enjoyment. Not too complex. This stuff projects extremely well. and goes for a long time. Still a casual sort of fragrance, but the best Davidoff release in a long while. The mandarin will tone down, the coconut and amber will take the lead, giving you a smooth and clean aroma. It’s a nice balance of fruity and warm, while being great for the summertime.

I'd love a Davidoff perfume of cigar or tobacco leaves! But Davidoff has not chosen that path, instead ending up in a blue sea of freshness with their hit fragrance Cool Water in the late eighties.
