About this deal

For the small Godox flashes, I would get the TT350 over the V350, even if they were the same price, for the simplicity of Eneloops (no special chargers, etc). Perfect for travel. Fujifilm EF-500 (TTL, HSS and wireless remote): This top-of-the-range hot shoe flash unit from Fujifilm was the first fully featured, in-house designed flash unit. This flash is compatible with the widest selection of Fujifilm X and GFX cameras. The EF-500 is heavy and can put quite a bit of strain on an X Series camera top plate, especially when the camera is used in portrait mode. The wireless remote feature requires a second EF-500 unit, as there is no dedicated transceiver available from Fujifilm. Hi I’m Damien Lovegrove, a portrait photographer, writer and trainer based at a converted barn and farmhouse in Somerset UK. I have a passion for beautiful photography and I will go to great lengths to create wonderful light. I don’t leave things to chance in my work and I love directing the moment. As with almost all modern speedlights, you’ll get TTL, Manual, Slave, and Stroboscopic modes. Manual mode gives you 1/3 power increments from 1/1 all the way down to 1/128, with the flash duration ranging from 1/350 to 1/20,000 of a second. Two slave modes are available: one to fire immediately, and one to fire after pre-flashes. No surprises here. You also have a small bounce card and ultra-wide diffuser that pop up. Finally, recycle times are 0.1-2.2 seconds (more on that later). Swivel The flash output is adjustable from 1/1 full power to 1/128th power in 1/3rd stop increments. To obtain a correct flash exposure, use a hand-held flash meter to determine the required flash output.

To use the radio features, hold down the Sync button and then twist the dial when the antennae icon flashes. If there are other wireless flash systems nearby, you can change the channel IDs to prevent signal interference. The channel IDs of the master unit and the slave unit(s) must be set to the same. It will survive being banged around in your camera bag, or in the included pouch, so no need to worry about durability for the most part.”

To adjust the channel CH setting on the flash trigger (add 10+ channels) and use the channel which is not disturbed. Or turn off the other 2.4G equipment in working. I am really quite impressed with what this little flash can do. I can’t even begin to explain how dark the dance floor area was, but the Godox TT350F done a fantastic job of lighting the scene. Granted, I had to bump my ISO up to 3200, but that’s really not a problem. In terms of light consistency, the TT350F is great. I noticed no major swings in temperature while using it. Overall the flash is very compact and weighs just 0.46 lbs. It’s just about the perfect size for smaller Mirrorless cameras, and it honestly doesn’t look crazy like a full size flash would when sitting in the hot shoe. The Godox TT350F has a pretty unspectacular design, but it does the job it needs to do. I’ve certainly seen flashes that are far worse when it comes to overall design.

At the heart of the Godox system are a couple of transmitters dedicated to Fujifilm cameras. The X-1TF is a flat design and can take a speedlight on the top, and the XproF transmitter has a sloping surface and a large bright LCD screen. Both units can be used to trigger any of the Godox speedlights or Godox flash heads or a manual flash via a remote X1-R receiver. Here’s a shot at 1/2000sec and f/1.4, ISO400 with HSS on. (You’ll find bumping the ISO helps save battery life, which is why I’m using ISO400 here). Two lights Number of flashes that will activate over-temperature protection in high-speed sync triggering mode: Power Output The flash coverage can be set automatically or manually. It can be set to match the lens focal length from 24 to 105mm (135 format) /16 to 56mm (APS). Also, with the built-in wide panel, the flash coverage can be expanded for 14mm wide-angle lenses.Godox TT350F is a mini flash unit designed specifically for Fujifilm mirrorless cameras. Key features include its compact, 2-1/4” design, 2.4 GHz wireless transmission and full compatibility with other units in the Godox 2.4G Wireless X System. The TT350F is the little sibling to Godox TT685F. It uses the same 2.4 GHz signal for full compatibility with Godox transmitters (X1T-F, X2T-F, XPro-F) and other flash units from Godox X Wireless System. Unlike many entry-level flashes, the TT350F can function as both a master and a slave unit, with support for 3 groups and 16 channels. It uses just two AA batteries, which can produce up to 210 flashes at full power. Information displayed includes current mode, power, groups, channels, zoom, and under/over exposure when in TTL mode. It is easy to see what your settings are at a glance. Point the flash head straight ahead and then upward by 90°. The catchlight will not appear if you swing the flash head left or right.

You can divide the slave units into two or three groups and perform TTL autoflash while changing the flash ratio (factor). In addition, you can set and shoot with a different flash mode for each firing group, for up to 3 groups. The wall or ceiling should be a plain, white color for high reflectance. If the bounce surface is not white, a color cast may appear in the picture. The operational range is 30m and you have access to 3 remote groups with 16 channels each for more complex flash setups. If you’re one of those photographers who is wondering why you’d need a flash like this to have the ability to both be a sender and receiver, the answer is simple. Wedding and event photographers like the flexibility of being able to use it as a walk-around flash as well as switching to a controller of off-camera flashes when necessary say the opening dance at a wedding or a speech at an event. Pull out the wide panel and place it over the flash head as shown. The flash coverage will then be extended to 14 mm.
