About this deal

With topics ranging from history and geography to literature, pop culture, and food, Smart Ass will make the most of your collective brain power. Price: More than worth it Additionally, it’s fun to know that the person who answers the most questions correctly won’t necessarily be the one that wins the game.

Then a question is being asked from that category and every player can yell out an answer at any time, but they can do this once. If you love yelling out answers to questions, or showing off your trivia knowledge, then Smart Ass could be just the game for you. Dumb Ass – this is a penalty space. If you land on this you can’t answer the next questions. Basically, it’s like missing a turn.

Each question card lists 8 clue on it. Starting at the top of the list the player reads down the clues and other players can shout out an answer at any time. But, players only get one go at answering each question. So, if they get it wrong they’re frozen out responding to the rest of the clues.

However, there’s actually plenty of questions throughout the entire game that you might not be able to answer regardless of your age. Play this game with a wide range of different people in your family, and you’ll start to see its universal appeal. English–Arabic English–Bengali English–Catalan English–Czech English–Danish English–Hindi English–Korean English–Malay English–Marathi English–Russian English–Tamil English–Telugu English–Thai English–Turkish English–Ukrainian English–Vietnamese If multiple players guess correctly at the same time, the reader decides who answered first. If there is no way to tell who answered first, the reader uses a question from a Hard Ass card to break the tie. The first player to guess the correct answer gets to roll the number die and move their playing piece. If both players are wrong, the reader gets to roll the number die and move their playing piece. The last year as seen us play loads of board games together as a family. We’ve found them a fantastic way of getting people of all ages together, laughing and bonding in a way that sitting in front of the TV just can’t compete with. We’re also using them as a bit of a stealth way of educating the kids. Whether it be understanding the concept of taking turns for the younger children, or building the older ones’ general knowledge, board games are an excellent way of doing both as a family. When I saw Smart Ass at Blog On I knew that it would be perfect for that general knowledge building for the older kids. What's Included: Game Board, 6 Playing Pieces and Stands, 411 Question Cards, Jumbo Category Die, Jumbo Movement Die, Instructions Each player chooses a stand and a playing piece, and assembles it. Place your playing piece on the Start space. Although there’s no specific rule in this game that dictates how much time a player can take to answer a question, you can set your own restrictions if you’re in a rush. Consider using a little sand timer to keep the game running at a rapid pace. Note: if only 2 players are playing, then the other player gets a free roll of the numbered die and moves up the board. After that, the game continues as normal.
